After a year’s hiatus from Q they are back and bolder and better than ever…Sydney-based sisters Jenny and Sharon Manik Merican have launched a series of collections that parallel their travels: Turkey, Egypt…. and most exotic of all are their travels into the realms of the supermodel universe as the official jewellery designers for Victoria Secrets Fashion Show. Check out their Heidi, Cindy, Giselle and Tyra earrings as well as my favourite, their truly spectacular Esin blue and gold enamel cuffs.   The Sahani collection focuses on design made of quality and affordable materials like crystals, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls and exotic fabrics.

It looked all too familiar …a little bit practical and functional and a whole lot distinctive and artisanal. And with a bit of online research I discovered why! Trang Huyhn and Jennifer Tash the co-creators of Isabella Fiore …a brand we introduced into Singapore when we first opened Q… left Isabella Fiore and started anew with their own boutique handbag brand Lockheart.  

The girls and their team have evolved a distinctive signature look which includes updating classic styles like satchels, totes, wallets, messenger and vintage-style frame bags with quality skins in a fresh new palette of colours trimmed with fabric finishes like dimensional appliqué, braiding, tassels and patchwork.

Practicality is their forte, knowing that girls like big bags for day but can not abide the heavyweight hardware, they made all their chunky brass-looking fittings from aluminium!
