 Have Shoe Will Travel

Tired, aching feet are a thing of the past once you own a pair of Fit-in-Clouds foldable, roll-up-able shoes with rubber soles. The shoes are ideal for use when driving or at work, or (better still) to slip on after a hard night pounding the dance floor – they can fit into the smallest of purses as they are the same size as an iPhone when folded and fitted into their pouch!

We offer the range in three sizes: small (sz 35 and 36), medium (sz 37 to 37.5) and large (sz 38-39) and in all colours and finishes including Ocean Blue, Silver Sequins, Black Sequins and Black Patent.

 Mirror Mirror on My…self

The Kaur Collection conceived and designed by fashion writer Harman Kaur Dhillon is her creative encapsulation of art deco style inspired by her Indian heritage. More interestingly (for me), she mined 16th century Indian aesthetic history to create her bold statement pieces. History buffs note that in 16th century India, royal women from the Mughal court were given large mirror rings to be worn on their thumbs to check that their appearance at all times remained flawless.

Inspired by this wonderful piece of historical trivia, Harman has created a collection of 18k gold-plated earrings, bangles, necklaces and of course, rings that are indeed, flawless!

Tu-(leste) Tu-(leste) Market to Buy a Fat Bling

Sisters Satu and Celeste Greenberg are on a creative roll with their line of vintage-inspired costume jewellery. The line is known for its over- and small-sized rosettes as well as their macaroni and quad necklaces. We like it for its ingenious versatility: necklaces convert to belts and to bracelets. There is something for all whether you are in the mood for retro-esque styling and baroque boldness or pared-down office-ready simplicity. Go bold, go beautiful…go Tuleste Market.

NB: Big shout-out to Bouna Choe from TM for being so delightfully efficient and passionate about the brand.

 Nostalgia with Bennie and Olive

Designer artist Jenifer Forest learnt the art of crafting from her grandparents Bennie and Olive in rural Alberta and then struck out on her own for the bright lights and big city of Toronto. Yet, she still manages to keep them in her heart with humour and a heapin’ helpin’ of wit. Jenifer turns out: luggage tags, passport holders, spectacle cases and some amazingly cat-tastic cuffs…

 Os-Pop the Weasel

Ospop (One Small Point of Pride) hailing from the Middle Kingdom puts a little jive into the utilitarian waterproof canvas bags that you see all over China. Our Ospop Messenger and One-Day, One-Handle bag are from the label’s Migration series and like the entire line are proudly Made in China. The bags, lined with material taken from the she pi dai bag - the luggage of choice for China’s working class - transform them into something so apt for all of us who live a life in transit!

NB: Ospop helps to provide financial assistance to needy university students living in the area surrounding the Ospop factory in Wen County (450 miles south-west of Beijing). A portion from the sale of each bag is donated to this cause.

 What’s New Nicole?

House of Harlow THE must-buy celeb-accessory collection from Nicole Ritchie is really rockin’ at Q. And when we thought we had enough 70s style Aztec motifs set against leather she mined another mother lode -  the classy horse world, a palace garden with peacocks running rampant and old-time seals and sealing wax - to provide her with artistic/design inspiration. Once again Nicole hits it out of the ballpark!
